Events

The Embassy at Pier 9 has a commitment to building relationships with the other tenants of the Docklands area. It is our intent to include other tenants when conducting major events and to support initiatives generated by other tenants. To that end we intend to pursue the following events in the future:

A biannual Storytellers Festival (to celebrate the diverse cultures and interests of community members).
A community growers market (to be conducted monthly) to provide quality organic produce for local residents.
Wine appreciation classes.
Regular Performance nights where local playwrights, musicians and performers are encouraged to conduct performance pieces that explore diversity and cultural heritage.
An annual Indigenous and Torris Strait Islander Festival that celebrates the spirituality and culture of the Indigenous community.
An annual Ceremony of Remembrance that acknowledges people who have died and their families and friends.
“Café to Go” program where people attend to share experiences and views on death, grief and loss.
Annual Holistic Healing Conference to be conducted by complementary therapists and spiritual healers.
